Projects I’m working on

A few months ago, I spent some time with my nine-year-old niece who asked me when I was going to write something that she could read.  That set me to thinking, and to writing.  Sort of.  I’m a disciplined writer.  Most days I write.  Period.  But I am finding it hard to make progress on this project.  My plans to “deliver” the story by Christmas have now pushed back to my niece’s birthday next year (she doesn’t know that yet).  I’d love to hear any feedback from those of you who have tried (and possibly failed) to write in an entirely new genre!  And, I’ll keep you posted on my progress!
